First thought that comes to everyones mind when traveling to Florida is the misconception that its always hot and sunny in Orlando or even Miami for that matter. The fact of the matter is that it also gets cold here just like it does up north to our penguin friends. It might not get below zero down here or have heavy blizzard snows like up north, but be prepared when you do decide to take a trip down to Orlando this winter from now in December till the end of January.

Of course for the locals that are use to the heat wave for three quarters of the year you will find wearing pants and a sweater and on some days that get below fifty degrees even wearing a heavy coat. Most of the snow birds however will probably be wearing shorts since they are use to weather below the twentys from where they are from.

Nonetheless the cruise ships from Port Canaveral will still be operating as they do for three hundred and sixty five days out of the year. The Caribbean islands that those ships travel to ; however since they are closer to the equator you will find to be a warmer climate area than that of the central Florida area. Just be sure though that when you get back into Port Canaveral from your cruise that your wearing some warmer clothing than that you would be wearing in the Bahamas.  We all know that wearing dress shoes go well with a suit and tie, but not with shorts and a t-shirt on your vacation. We can pick you out and we see them all the time.
